Injectable anaesthetic for use in dogs, cats and wildlife. Dose dependent light to full surgical anaesthesia with a wide safety margin.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS

• A ready-mixed combination of tiletamine and zolazepam for an optimal balanced formulation of anaesthesia, analgesia, muscle relaxation, and sedation.
• Rapid onset of action with wide safety margin and wide therapeutic window.
• Simplified dosing, easy administration and low injection volume.
• Widely used for 30 years in small animal veterinary practices.
• Can be administered intramuscularly or intravenously.

BENEFITS

• Zoletil has a very high margin of safety in the dog and cat. There are limited side effects, no cardiorespiratory depression, no epileptic effect, and no hepatic or renal toxicity.
• Flexible route of administration. Zoletil may be administered by either the intramuscular or intravenous route. The IM route is particularly suitable for fractious animals especially cats. Only a small dose volume is required.
• Light to full surgical anaesthesia. Zoletil can be used for sedation, induction, and total injectable anaesthesia in dogs and cats. The dose of Zoletil can be adjusted to provide light to full surgical anaesthesia.
• Good muscle relaxation and analgesia. The combination of tiletamine (similar to ketamine) and zolazepam (similar to diazepam) in Zoletil produces good muscle relaxation and analgesia. As tiletamine is a dissociative anaesthetic the laryngeal, pharyngeal, palpebral and corneal reflexes are retained. For painful procedures or surgery additional analgesics should be used.
• Multi species. Zoletil can be safely used in a wide variety of species including cats, dogs, deer, ferrets, birds, marsupials and primates.
