Description
Suppression of luteinising hormone, testosterone and fertility in male dogs and male ferrets.
Aid in the control of unacceptable behaviour and androgen-induced disease such as benign prostatic hyperplasia in dogs.
Aids in the control of adrenal diseases (hyperadrenocorticism) in ferrets (Suprelorin 9.4 mg).

KEY CHARACTERISTICS
  • An injectable implant that medically castrates the dog for at least 6 or 12 months, that can be re-implanted once or twice a year to ensure life-long castration.
  • GnRH-agonist (deslorelin) medical implant with unique, innovative slow release lipidic matrix technology, offering a reversible alternative to surgery and allowing owners to see the potential effects of castration without committing to permanent surgery.
  • The implant suppresses sexual hormones and gonadotropins (luteinising hormone, follicle stimulating hormone); it can be used for fertility management, managment of sexual behaviour, or testosterone-related diseases, and may avoid secondary effects that are induced by surgical castration (luteinising hormone up regulation).
