The MILACATH® Double Lumen Small Animal Central Venous Catheter is designed for long-term venous access when simultaneous administration of multiple fluids or medications is required. The dual-lumen design features separate exit ports spaced along the catheter, allowing independent access through each lumen while reducing the need for multiple venipuncture sites. Constructed from a biocompatible, non-kinking, non-thrombogenic polyurethane material, MILACATH® catheters are indicated for administration of drugs and fluids, blood sampling, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and central venous pressure monitoring, with recommended indwell times of up to 30 days. Available in guidewire and peel-away introducer configurations, each kit includes the components necessary to place and secure the catheter.
