The MILACATH® Single Lumen Large Animal Central Venous Catheter is designed for long-term venous access for administration of medications and fluids, blood sampling, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and central venous pressure monitoring. Constructed from a biocompatible, non-kinking, non-thrombogenic polyurethane catheter material, MILACATH® catheters are designed for indwelling periods of up to 30 days. Multiple configurations are available including antimicrobial and non-antimicrobial catheters, integrated or separate extension sets, and guidewire or peel-away introducer placement techniques to accommodate a wide variety of large animal and specialty applications.


  • Designed for long-term venous access with recommended indwell times up to 30 days
  • Suitable for administration of medications and fluids, blood sampling, TPN, and central venous pressure monitoring
  • Biocompatible catheter material is non-kinking and non-thrombogenic
  • Single lumen design with distal tip exit port
  • 14Ga catheters feature both a distal tip exit port and an additional side exit port
  • Available with integrated or separate extension sets
  • Select configurations include antimicrobial catheter technology
  • Available in guidewire-placement and peel-away introducer-placement kits
  • Suture wings and catheter clamps facilitate secure fixation
  • Needle-free stasis valve and cap included on most configurations
