MILA Large Animal Bronchoalveolar Lavage (BAL) Catheters are designed for collection of lower airway samples via the nasotracheal route in equine and other large animal patients. Constructed from heavy-wall, radiopaque silicone, the catheter is designed to facilitate lavage and sample retrieval while maintaining flexibility and durability. A distal 30 mL balloon cuff can be inflated to help stabilize catheter placement and reduce retrograde fluid flow around the catheter during lavage procedures. The included stopcock allows aspiration and irrigation syringes to remain connected simultaneously, improving procedural efficiency.
