The MILA Guidewire Foley Catheter Procedure Kits are designed for guidewire-assisted urinary catheter placement in female dogs using the Seldinger technique. Each kit includes an open-tip Foley catheter, J-tip guidewire, introducer, and all components needed for catheter placement and securement. The guidewire-assisted approach can facilitate catheter placement in challenging patients while maintaining the benefits of an indwelling Foley catheter, including a retention balloon for secure bladder placement. The silicone catheter features an open tip and radiopaque stripe for imaging visibility, while a water-activated lubricant within the lumen facilitates smooth guidewire removal following catheter placement.
