The MILA Percutaneous Urinary Catheterization Kits (PAUC) provide an all-in-one solution for fluoroscopy-guided urinary catheter placement in female cats and small dogs. Utilizing a percutaneously inserted hydrophilic nitinol guidewire, the PAUC technique allows antegrade catheter placement in patients with urethral obstruction, distal urethral strictures, urethral tears, or pelvic trauma. Each kit includes the components necessary to establish urinary access and place an open-tip Foley catheter over a guidewire that is advanced from the bladder through the urethra.

Procedure Overview
The guidewire is inserted percutaneously into the bladder through the catheter-over-needle introducer. Once advanced through the bladder and out of the urethral opening, the Foley catheter is fed onto the guidewire and advanced into the bladder using an antegrade technique. This approach can facilitate urinary catheter placement when retrograde catheterization is difficult or impossible.- [Zebravet_Files]:
