MILA Drum Long Line Catheters are designed to provide extended vascular access in companion animal patients requiring ongoing intravenous therapy, administration of vesicant medications, or serial blood sampling. The long catheter is supplied on a dispensing drum that serves as an advancement system and is designed to help minimize touch contamination during placement. Featuring a radiopaque, kink-resistant polyurethane catheter and a long-catheter-through-introducer technique, the system allows the long catheter to be replaced through the existing introducer catheter when clinically appropriate. Each kit includes a catheter-over-needle introducer, long catheter with stiffening wire, dispensing drum, and gauze.
