Dopram injectable contains doxapram hydrochloride monohydrate, a respiratory stimulant for dogs, cats and horses. In these species it has been shown to stimulate respiration during and after general anaesthesia and to speed awakening and the return of reflexes after anaesthesia. In neonate dogs and cats, it can be used to initiate and stimulate respiration after dystocia or caesarean section. Safe for use in dogs, cats and horses from any age and weight.
Active ingredients: Doxapram Hydrochloride Monohydrate

- Rapid Respiratory Stimulation: Acts quickly to stimulate respiration in dogs, cats, and horses, typically within seconds to one minute after intravenous administration. Onset is also rapid in neonates following subcutaneous or sublingual administration.
- Multi-Species Use: Effective in dogs, cats and horses for stimulating respiration during and after anaesthesia, and for speeding awakening and reflex return. Also indicated for initiating and stimulating respiration in neonatal dogs and cats following dystocia or caesarean section.
- Flexible Administration Routes: Primarily administered intravenously in dogs, cats, and horses. Can be given subcutaneously, sublingually, or via the umbilical vein in neonatal puppies, and subcutaneously or sublingually in neonatal kittens.
- Supports Anaesthetic Recovery: Facilitates a faster return of normal ventilation and arousal after general anaesthesia, minimising or preventing post-anaesthetic respiratory depression, hypoventilation, and hastening recovery.
- Dosage Titration: Dosage is adjustable (see label for specific dosage charts) to meet individual patient needs and the specific clinical situation, allowing for optimal respiratory support.
