ALCAINE™ (PROXYMETACAINE HYDROCHL0RIDE) EYE DROPS

ALCAINE Eye Drops contain 5 mg/mL (0.5%) proxymetacaine hydrochloride. Proxymetacaine hydrochloride is a white or almost white, crystalline powder, odourless or almost odourless. It is soluble in water and in chloroform; very soluble in absolute ethanol, practically insoluble in ether.
Excipient with known effect: benzalkonium chloride (0.1 mg/mL as a preservative).
