MILA Airway Exchange Catheters are designed to facilitate atraumatic placement and exchange of endotracheal tubes while maintaining access to the airway throughout the procedure. The catheter serves as a guide over which an existing endotracheal tube can be removed and a replacement tube advanced, helping simplify difficult tube exchanges and reintubation procedures. A removable 15 mm adapter allows temporary oxygen administration during the exchange process and can be removed when advancing or exchanging an endotracheal tube. The catheter may also be used to provide supplemental oxygen during fluoroscopic procedures. These catheters are intended for airway exchange and oxygenation only and are not designed to ventilate the patient.
