VETMEDIN (pimobendan) is indicated for the management of the signs of mild, moderate, or severe congestive heart failure (CHF) in dogs due to clinical myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) or dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). All formulations of VETMEDIN are indicated for use with concurrent therapy for congestive heart failure (e.g., furosemide) as appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
VETMEDIN Brand Products feature a mode of action that acts as both a positive inotrope and potent, balanced vasodilator, simultaneously dilating veins and arteries. In these forms, the product enters the GI tract and is rapidly absorbed.
