Active Ingredients
Procaine penicillin 300mg (300,000 IU) per mL.
INDICATIONS
The treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to penicillin in horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and cats.
DOSAGE
Cattle: 20 mg/kg liveweight or 1 mL/15 kg by IM injection.
Sheep: 25 mg/kg liveweight or 1 mL/12 kg by IM injection.
Pigs: 20 mg/kg liveweight or 1 mL/15 kg by IM injection.
Companion animals: 30 mg/kg, 1 mL/10 kg by SC injection.
Horses:
For Dermatophilosis: 25 mg/kg by IM injection, twice daily (every 12 hours).
For treatment of susceptible infections: 22-44 mg/kg by IM injection, (every 12 to 24 hours).
For all other conditions mentioned above: 30 mg/kg liveweight or 1 mL/10 kg by IM injection.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS
MILK: Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for not less than: Cattle 9 milkings or approximately 108 hours following the last treatment; sheep 35 days following the last treatment.
MEAT: Animals producing meat and offal for human consumption must not be sold over for slaughter either during treatment or within: Cattle and sheep 10 days; horses 63 days; pigs 7 days of the last treatment.
Bobby calves: Not for use in bobby calves. Milk from treated cows should not be fed to bobby calves during the treatment or within the withholding period.
